Cyber/Computer Network Analyst (CNA)

Cyber/Computer network analysts (CNAs) work with a team on the frontlines of defense against cyber adversaries, with tasks that may include:

  • identifying cyber threats and anomalies by conducting research and analysis on data collected from numerous sources;
  • identifying vulnerabilities and their impact to customers; and
  • building and integrating defense response capabilities against these threats.

  • CNAs are also required to have technical expertise and a driving desire to remain at the forefront of their field. CNAs often have experience or education in:

  • Computer engineering
  • Computer networking and security
  • Computer science or programming
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data science and analysis
  • Electrical engineering
  • Information assurance
